Instructions: Brydge 12.3 - for Microsoft Surface Pro 3 & 4

1 - IMPORTANT:
Your Brydge 12.3 hinges are set up for the Surface Pro 4
If you have the Surface Pro 3, you will need to replace the rubber shims already installed, with the extra set of rubber shims in the box
NOTE: If you have a screen protector on your Surface Pro screen, we highly recommend you remove it prior to attaching the Brydge 12.3 keyboard, to prevent undue pressure and cracking of your screen when attached to the hinges.

2 - TO REPLACE: Remove the current shims, and ensure the inner-surface of the hinge is clean and smooth
NOTE: Removing all remaining glue is not essential

3 - Remove tape backing from front and back of new shims, and insert evenly into hinges

4 - NOTE: Ensure the shim is pressed firmly against the bottom of the hinge beofre pressing on the front and back


5 - Place your Brydge keyboard on a flat surface, insert your Surface Pro into the hinges with the kickstand closed

6 - Lift your Surface Pro to test the hinge grip. Your Surface Pro and Brydge keyboard should be held tightly together

7 - If your Surface Pro is loose, remove and give the hinges a gentle squeeze. Repeat this process until your Surface Pro is held firmly

8 - To remove, put one hand firmly holding your Brydge keyboard against a flat hard surface. Then grab your Surface Pro and pull straight up


9 - To manually power on, press and hold Fn + Delete keys. The light will turn green for 3 seconds to indicate power
NOTE: Once paired, your Brydge will automatically wake upon opening the Surface Pro. The Delete key will turn green for three seconds to let you know your Brydge is awake.

10 - To manually power off, press and hold Fn + Delete keys for 3 seconds. The light will turn red momentarily to indicate it's powered off
NOTE: To conserve battery, your Brydge will enter sleep mode after 20 minutes of non-use. Press any key to turn back on. Your Brydge will enter sleep mode when both devices are closed, similar to a laptop


11 - To pair, press and hold the Bluetooth key for three seconds.
The Delete key light will flash blue confirming your Brydge keyboard is in pairing mode
NOTE: If pairing takes longer than one minute, the blue light will stop flashing and you will need to press the Bluetooth button again



13 - To check battery life, press the battery key. The Delete key will flash three times:
Green = 75-100%
Yellow = 25-74%
Red = 10-24%

14 - When battery is 9% or lower, backlit keys will be disabled and Delete key light will flash continuously

15 - Insert the supplied Micro USB cable

16 - Charging is confirmed by a solid red light on the Delete key. Your Brydge is fully charged when the light turns off
NOTE Charging can take up to 3 hours

1) Connect the included USB 3.0 cable. One end to the Surface Pro (USB - Type A), and the other end to the Brydge keyboard (Micro B).
2) Brydge 12.3 Pro 128 appears as an external drive in your file explorer
3) Use as you would any other exernal hard drive

- Scroll Direction: to reverse the direction of the trackpad's two finger scroll, press Fn + T
NOTE: Any motion of click on the trackpad will wake up your Bydge from sleep mode

Instructions: Brydge 12.9 - for iPad Pro 12.9 inch


1 - Place your iPad into the hinges with the home button on the right, and your Brydge placed on a flat surface

2 - Lift iPad to test the hinge grip. Your iPad and Brydge should be held tightly together

3 - If iPad is loose, remove and give the hinges a gentle squeeze. Repeat this process until your iPad is held firmly

4 - To remove, grab your iPad and pull straight up, with one hand firmly holding your Brydge against a hard surface


5a - Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds

5b - Press and hold the BluetoothTM button for 3 seconds

6 - On your iPad, under Settings>Bluetooth, tap Brydge 12.9

7 - NOTE: When turning on your Brydge, the caps lock, Bluetooth, and battery keys will flash once to let you know the Brydge is powered on. The same lighs will flash twice when you turn the unit off


8 - To check battery life, press and hold the battery key:
One Flash = 25%
Two Flashes = 50%
Three Flashes = 75%
Four Flashes = Fully charged

9 - Battery key will begin slowly flashing red when the battery is low and needs charging

10 - Insert the supplied MICRO USB cable
NOTE: Charging can take up to 3 hours

11 - Charging is confirmed by a solid red light under the batttery key. Your Brydge is fully charged when the light turns off

1 - Place your Brydge on a flat surface. Place hinges upright at 90 degree angle and insert your iPad into the hinges with the home button on the right.

2 - Lift your iPad to test the hinge grip. Your iPad and Brydge should be held tightly together

3 - If the iPad is loose, remove and give the hinges a gentle squeeze. Repeat this process until your iPad is held firmly

4 - To remove, hold your iPad and pull straight up, with one hand firmly holding your Brydge against a hard surface


5 - To manually power on, press and hold the power key; the light will turn green for 3 seconds to indicate power is on.

8 - On your iPad, under Settings>Bluetooth, select "Brydge 10.5 keyboard"

9 - The light on the power key will turn off to let you know the Brydge has paired and the iPad Settings will say "connected"


10 - To check battery life, press and hold the battery key for four seconds. Power key will flash three times:
Green = 75-100%
Yellow = 25-74%
Red = 10-24%

11 - When the battery is 9% or lower, the backlit keys will be disabled and light will flash continuously

12 - To charge your Brydge, insert the supplied MICRO USB cable in to the charging port on the front right corner.
NOTE: Charging may take up to 3 hours.

13 - The battery is charging when the light on the power key is red; your Brydge is fully charged when the light turns off
Once finished, charging, you can remove the cable (battery should last 12 months or more based on use)

1 - IMPORTANT: Your Brydge 9.7 is initially set up for the iPad Pro 9.7-inch and iPad Air 2.
If you have the new iPad (March 2018), iPad (March 2017) or an iPad Air 1, you will need to replace the rubber shims with the second set of shims provided in the box (located next to the Micro USB)

2 - TO REPLACE: Remove the current shims, and pick away any large tape residue
NOTE: It’s not necessary to remove everything, just the bigger bits

3 - Remove tape backing from front and back of new shims, and line up where the previous ones were
Insert into hinges

4 - NOTE: Ensure the shim is pressed firmly against the bottom of the hinge


5 - Place your iPad into the hinges with the home button on the right, and your Brydge placed on a flat surface

6 - Lift iPad to test the hinge grip. Your iPad and Brydge should be held tightly together

7 - If iPad is loose, remove and give the hinges a gentle squeeze. Repeat this process until your iPad is held firmly

8 - To remove, grab your iPad and pull straight up, with one hand firmly holding your Brydge against a hard surface


9a - Press the power key. A green dot will illuminate

9b - Press and hold the BluetoothTM key for 3 seconds. The power key will flash blue until Bluetooth is successfully paired

10 - On your iPad, under Settings>Bluetooth, tap Brydge 9.7 keyboard

11a - NOTE: The power key will illuminate for 2 seconds to let you know the Brydge is powered on

11b - To power off: Press and hold for three seconds. Key will turn green, then flash red twice to indicate Brydge is powered off


12 - To check battery life, press and hold the battery key for four seconds. Power key will flash three times:
Green = 75-100%
Yellow = 25-74%
Red = 10-24%
Power key will flash red three times every two minutes when the battery is below 9% and needs charging

13 - Insert the supplied MICRO USB cable
Power key will be illuminated red while charging, and is fully charged when the light turns off
NOTE: Charging can take up to 3 hours

9 Turn on by switching the small silver button on the front left of your Brydge to the right. A green dot will appear.
Put your Brydge into pairing mode by pressing and holding the long silver button on the front left of your Brydge for 3 seconds

10 - On your iPad, under Settings>Bluetooth, tap Brydge 9.7 keyboard


11 - To check battery life, press the battery key
One flash = 25%
Two flashes = 50%
Three flashes = 75%
Four flashes = Fully charged
A solid blue light indicates your Brydge has less than 10% battery life left

12 - Insert the supplied MICRO USB cable

13 - Charging is confirmed by a solid red light under the right shift key.
Your Brydge is fully charged when the light turns off.
NOTE: Charging can take up to 3 hours


14 - To activate speakers, press and hold the long silver button on the far right on the front of your Brydge.
You will hear a da-da-dup/da-dup sound.
Your speakers are now ready to pair

15 - On your iPad, under Settings>Bluetooth, select BrydgeAir Sound.
You will hear a final BEEP confirming the pairing process.
NOTE: If you don’t see BrydgeAir Sound under the Bluetooth on your iPad, please turn your keyboard off and repeat step 1

5 Turn on by switching the small silver button on the front left of your Brydge to the right. A green dot will appear
Put your Brydge into pairing mode by pressing and holding the long silver button on the front left of your Brydge for 3 seconds

6 - On your iPad, under Settings>Bluetooth, tap Brydge 7.9


7 - A continuous flashing blue light indicates your Brydge has less than 10% battery life left

8 - Insert the supplied MICRO USB cable

9 - Charging is confirmed by a solid red light under the right shift key. Your Brydge is fully charged when the light turns off

1 Connecting Your Brydge+
Unfold the hinges to the vertical position.
Place your iPad Air into the hinges with the home button on the right-hand side.
2 Looking after the battery
Battery Indicator
- Red: Charging / Fully charged
- Blue (flashing slowly): Low battery
- To charge your keyboard, connect to any USB port using the cable provided.
3 Pairing the keyboard for the first time
- Turn the power button
to the on position
- On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth (and ensure your Bluetooth is turned on).
- Press and hold "Control" & "K" for 2 seconds (the on/off button will flash blue).
- Tap "Brydge Keyboard" under Bluetooth devices.
4 Pairing the speakers for the first time
- On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth
- Press and hold "Control" & "B" for 4 seconds until you hear a 4-tone beep (the speakers are now activated).
- Press "Control" & "B" once more very quickly, you will hear a second two-tone beep.
- Select Brydge Speakers under Bluetooth devices. Pairing is confirmed by a single-beep (initial pairing may take up to 5 seconds).
5 Turning the speakers on and off
